ASSIST Intelligence Launches to SME Leaders with Live AI Agent Demo
Singapore, 10 September 2026. ASSIST introduced ASSIST Intelligence, its AI-powered business intelligence partner, to business leaders across Singapore and Malaysia in a live webinar on Microsoft Teams. The 50-minute session showed how specialised AI agents monitor company data, flag problems while there is still time to act, and trigger the follow-up, with two live finance demos covering cash-flow shortages and revenue leakage.
Data is not the problem. Timing is.
Most growing businesses already run ERP systems, accounting platforms, spreadsheets and dashboards. The gap is that information passes through data entry, reconciliation and reporting before it reaches management, so a missed invoice often surfaces at month-end close and a project delay only shows after the deadline has passed.
“Our main message today is simple: know earlier, act faster and perform better,” said HaYoung, Product Manager at ASSIST, who leads development of ASSIST Intelligence. “Traditional business intelligence shows what has already happened. ASSIST monitors information as it becomes available and helps answer the more important questions: what is happening now, why, and what action should we take.”
An intelligence layer, not another system
ASSIST Intelligence sits on top of the systems a business already uses. It reads documents, ERP and accounting data, databases and operational apps, then turns them into real-time visibility, alerts, explanations, recommendations and automated follow-up. It does not replace existing systems.
The platform first learns what “normal” looks like for each organisation, such as typical customer revenue, supplier costs, processing times and project margins. Once that baseline is set, it flags meaningful changes rather than just technical errors. The work is split across six specialised agents:
| Agent | What it does |
|---|---|
| Data agent | Collects and understands business information |
| Rule agent | Checks information against policies and requirements |
| Monitoring agent | Tracks current business conditions |
| Anomaly agent | Spots activity that is missing or different from normal |
| Advisory agent | Explains the issue and recommends an action |
| Action agent | Sends alerts, requests approvals, creates reminders or starts a follow-up workflow |
Where a dashboard might report that project costs rose 18%, ASSIST explains that the increase came from contractor expenses and delayed milestones, forecasts the effect on margin, and points to what should be reviewed.
Live demo: two finance use cases
Liam, Technical Manager at ASSIST, ran both demos in Agent Studio, the low-code environment where ASSIST builds agents for each client. Both used a fictional construction firm working on a terminal project, with PDF invoices as the input. In production, ASSIST can also read invoices straight from a client’s ERP or accounting system.
| Use case | The scenario | What the agent did |
|---|---|---|
| Cash-flow shortage | Five unpaid supplier invoices totalling more than USD 200,000, one of about USD 55,000 already overdue and the rest due within five days. Only USD 11,000 in customer payments due in the next 30 days. | Ran as a daily scheduled job, calculated the projected cash gap, emailed an alert with key metrics, and generated a live dashboard for the finance team. |
| Revenue leakage | A regular customer billed monthly from January to April, then no invoices after April because of a system issue. | Learned the customer’s billing pattern, detected four missing invoices, emailed an alert explaining the likely cause and next action, and linked to a real-time dashboard. |
In both cases the alert arrives before the problem lands, giving the finance team time to negotiate supplier payment timing, arrange short-term funding or issue the missed invoices before financial close.

Beyond finance
Finance was the featured use case because it is a clear indicator of overall business health, but the same capability applies anywhere a business has data, rules, expected patterns or thresholds.
| Area | What ASSIST Intelligence can flag |
|---|---|
| Finance | Cash-flow gaps, missing revenue, recurring charges on ended contracts, forecast vs actual differences |
| Operations | Delayed processes, missing documents, unusual service performance |
| Projects | Schedule delays, cost increases, declining margins |
| Customers | Reduced activity, service issues, changing payment behaviour |
| Policies and contracts | Approval limits, required documents, contract conditions, company rules |
“ASSIST is not simply another dashboard,” said HaYoung. “It is an active intelligence partner that gives the right intelligence to the right people while action is still possible.”
From the Q&A
Can we define our own alert rules and thresholds? Yes, in plain language rather than formulas. “You can type your rules into the agent and add or update them yourself,” said Liam, adding that the ASSIST team helps set up and fine-tune the first rules so agents run correctly and are easy to monitor.
What is a “system of intelligence”? Systems of record such as ERP, accounting and CRM capture and store transactions. A system of intelligence works across all of them, compares activity with business rules and normal patterns, then explains the risk and recommends the next action. ASSIST agents connect to email, document parsers, dashboards and third-party systems through MCP tools.
How do agents pull the right data when each client’s financial sources differ? Agent Studio is used to build an agent-driven ETL (extract, transform, load) pipeline. When a document is uploaded, an agent reads it with vision and reasoning, converts it into structured data and stores it in a database. A second agent then reads from that database to run analysis and build dashboards.
